This page archives older, but still valuable, articles and other materials . . .
- “The North Fork: Living with Wildlife“ is a joint NFLA/NFPA publication that outlines recommendations on how to live responsibly in wildlife habitat and suggests specific ways to minimize the chances of conflict with such animals as grizzly bears, black bears, mountain lions, wolves, coyotes, deer, elk and moose. This is an excellent brochure for new and current landowners alike. It also includes some wonderful illustrations by Diane Boyd. (posted 15 September 2011)
- “The North Fork Road: Possible Maintenance Alternatives and Landowner Opinions“ is a very thorough discussion of the road paving issue by Coleen Lux of the University of Montana. Well worth reading. (posted 11 July 2003)
- Meg Hahr wrote an excellent article titled “Winter Wildlife Movements in the North Fork Valley“. Since it didn’t make it into a newsletter, we present it here. (posted 6 Oct 2001)
- Looking for the old 1999-2000 North Fork Road Anti-paving Site? We didn’t throw it away! You can find it here.
