Flood Information page updated with more forecast and river gauge links

The Flood Information page has been spruced up with some additional material. The National Weather Service listing now includes links to specific flood-related forecasts. Also, a new section includes links to the real-time river gauge data for the stations at the Canadian border and near Columbia Falls.

Flood Info page: Link to Flathead County Office of Emergency Services added

We’ve added a link for the Flathead County Office of Emergency Services to the “Flood Information” page. In the event of major flooding, these folks will be responsible, in conjunction with federal and state agencies, for managing and coordinating the response.

We did a little shuck and jive at the National Weather Service site and put together a custom, North Fork-specific page displaying current and forecast river gauge data, as well as weekly forecast flood probabilities for the North Fork of the Flathead River. Wildfire Information page updated

Since the fire situation in Canada often affects the North Fork, the “Wildfire Information” page has been updated to add a collection of links to Canadian wildfire maps and information. They include national coverage, as well as links specific to British Columbia and Alberta.
