Summer North Fork Interlocal Agreement Meeting coming up July 19

The Summer 2017 North Fork Interlocal Agreement Meeting is at 1:00pm, on Wednesday, July 19 at Sondreson Hall. This year’s sponsor is the North Fork Preservation Association.

Interlocal meetings are held twice each year, winter and summer. These semi-annual get-togethers are intended to encourage open discussion between North Fork landowners and neighbors and local, state and federal agencies.

In other words, it’s a big deal if you have an interest in the North Fork.

Preceding the Interlocal meeting, is the annual FireWise Day Workshop at 9:30 a.m. and lunch at noon. Lunch is a community potluck, with the NFPA supplying the main course and drinks.

North Fork Interlocal Agreement meeting coming up on Feb. 17

The 2016 winter North Fork Interlocal Agreement meeting will be held Wednesday, February 17 at Montana Fish, Wildlife and Park Region 1 headquarters, 490 N Meridian Rd, in Kalispell. Start time is 10:00 a.m.

The Interlocal Agreement provides for face-to-face contact with representatives of agencies whose policies and actions affect the North Fork. Interlocal Agreement meetings are held in the winter (in town) and summer (at Sondreson Hall). Signatories to the agreement include the Flathead National Forest, Glacier National Park and the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation.

This is always a very interesting meeting, with reports from a range of government agencies and local organizations and often some quite vigorous discussion.

North Fork Inter Local meeting is tomorrow!

The summer North Fork Inter Local Agreement meeting will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, July 15 at Sondreson Hall. Start time is 1:00 p.m. The meeting is preceded by a potluck lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m., with the North Fork Trails Association providing the burgers and brats. Please bring a side dish.

And don’t forget the annual Firewise Day meeting in the morning, starting at 9:30 a.m.

Winter Interlocal covers a lot of territory

The Winter North Fork Interlocal meeting was held February 11 at Glacier Park’s Community Hall. There were at least 31 North Forkers present and good representation from the various government agencies.

This summer’s Inter Local meeting is coming up on Wednesday, July 16, at Sondreson Hall. The meeting starts at 1:00 p.m. and is sponsored by the North Fork Road Coalition. Inter Local meetings are held twice each year, winter and summer. These semi-annual get-togethers are intended to encourage open discussion between North Fork landowners and neighbors and local, state and federal agencies.

In other words, it’s a big deal if you have an interest in the North Fork.

Preceding the Inter Local meeting, is the annual FireWise Day Workshop at 9:30 a.m. and lunch at noon. The potluck lunch at noon is also hosted by the North Fork Road Coalition.

This summer’s Interlocal meeting is coming up on Wednesday, July 10, at Sondreson Hall. The meeting starts at 1:00 p.m. and is sponsored by the North Fork Compact. Interlocal meetings are held twice each year, winter and summer. These semi-annual get-togethers are intended to encourage open discussion between North Fork landowners and neighbors and local, state and federal agencies.

Larry Wilson: North Fork interlocal meeting previewed

Larry’s column provides an “educated guess” preview of the upcoming North Fork Interlocal Agreement meeting . . .

The North Fork Interlocal Agreement meeting will be held Feb. 15 at the Glacier National Park Community Hall at Park Headquarters. Host will be Glacier Park, and MC will no doubt be Polebridge District Ranger Scott Emmerich. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 1 p.m.

The main purpose of the meeting is to encourage open discussion among North Fork neighbors, private landowners and local, state and federal agencies.

Landowners are represented by the North Fork Landowners Association, the North Fork Compact, the North Fork Preservation Association, and the North Fork Coalition for Health and Safety.

Individuals may comment at the meeting, but everyone is encouraged to contact the group that represents them with their questions and concerns. They will then notify the agency involved so that they will be prepared to answer the questions or concerns at the meeting. This is especially important if the agency representative needs to contact other people to get the information requested.
